We are a warm and welcoming congregation of Christians who strive to follow the New Testament pattern in all that we do. Our hearts’ desire is to love God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength, and to love our neighbors as ourselves (Mark 12:30-31). The Bible is the inspired word of God and our only guide in matters of faith and practice.
At Lake Drive Church of Christ, you’ll find people from all walks of life united by our common faith in Jesus Christ. We welcome visitors of all ages, backgrounds, and circumstances. Our Mission
Our mission is no different than what Jesus has commanded us to do: “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you” (Matthew 28:18-20).
The church is no different than the movement Jesus set out to start when He said, “I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it” (Matthew 16:18). We are simply continuing that same work – making disciples, teaching God’s word, and being the family of believers that Christ established. We strive to be the church you read about in the New Testament, faithfully following the pattern Jesus gave us.
We Focus on the Gospel Message
We hold fast to the teachings of the New Testament, believing that:
- Jesus Christ is the Son of God who died for our sins and rose again (1 Corinthians 15:3-4)
- The Bible is God’s complete revelation to mankind (2 Timothy 3:16-17)
- Salvation comes through faith, repentance, confession, and baptism for the remission of sins (Acts 2:38)
- The church is the body of Christ, with Jesus as its head (Ephesians 1:22-23)
